who later sold it to Albert Stahl & Company, 1937 - no mention found after 1962

A little History

Founded in the thirteenth century, Dresden was the seat of
the Saxon monarchs beginning in the fifteenth century
and is currently the capital of the Free State
of Saxony. Situated on the Elbe River in eastern Germany,
Dresden played a pivotal role in the Renaissance
and Reformation in Europe and has been
called the "Florence of the North."

Whats in the making

This is a hand painted German lace procelain Figurine.
Porcelain "slip" is poured into hand crafted molds and
completely air dried before it is baked. Real cotton
lace impregnated with porcelain clay is used to dress
the figurine with the characteristic ruffles. The
figurines are then glazed and baked. The lace burns
away leaving the delicate pattern in procelain. They
are then hand painted and baked a final time.
Measures 8 1/2" by 11". Germany

Marks are unidentified with blue overglaze.

Crossed swords, letters at handle area are (m b), "Germany Dresden"
below swords.

Notice the swords at the bottom of the figurine between the man and woman.
